Here's some Experiences, Tips, and a litle bit motivation for being a good musician especially guitar player, Enjoy :)
When I was in the first grade of senior high school, as I told on my oldest post before, a guy named Angga was playing a beautiful song on his guitar. And since he got a girlfriend that time, I guess he is more romantic while singing and talking to his girlfriend with playing the guitar. So, I was so amazed by that, In my opinion that time, I think if I could play some thing cool on some musical instrument, I would be just like him, romantic and mostly popular and famous guy in the school. So, I decided to learn the guitar that time.
And by the way, there's some musical festival too on short period of time that day. So I was really excited and very motivated back then. I told Angga to teach me at least one chord or even the simplest thing I could play on the guitar. By the way guitar was my first instrument that I learn and love to master it hopefully someday. Then he teach me to play a 3 basic chord that is a G Major, C Major, and D Major. He told me that I could firstly learn those 3 chords and next the transition beetwen each chord is must be smooth and good. I was told by him to play on the 4/4 bars. Ofc I can't do that in a short time, I think I nailed that things on 2 months after I could borrow and practice guitar from him at home. And ofc I was so embarrassing and annoying in tht festival since I could only played 1 chord and that was C Major, for a whole song. But, I don't really care about that cause that was my first experience after all.
My finger was really hurt for a half year cause I was rushing my self to learn the guitar. And I guess it just only the basic like chord, simple melodies, a C Major scale and something like that. Thats not included the "Barre Chord" Wich is make my fingers absolutely hurt and even a bit blood come out from my pinky since Ive a small fingers. I guess that's fine and quite balanced with my progress since I was a really beginner and have nothing knowledge about music especially guitar.
On that first 5 month, I could learn some chord in C, and G key. For example like A minor, D minor, E minor, and so on. My next target firstly was how to play a B Major Chord. And that was the first time tht I think I could move to the next level Wich is learning a "Barre Chord". So I take that risk, and once again my hand was hurt and sometimes bleeding a little bit. But yeah I nailed once again the "Barre Chord" on the next 10 months. I can play almost all of the barre chord in C, A, E, D Form or shape. The G form or shape is quite difficult for me, cause I need to stretched more my fingers a bit wider than the other forms.
After knowing and can play some chord that mostly used by most of the song in this world, I learn some basic musical theory. Like what is chord, and how to use them for making song more beautiful like the Major and Minor 7 chord. Some chord rotation, Bars in music and etc. I keep learning those musical theory things until right now and I think forever since music has no limit for it self. And for now, I learn some Pianos too, why ? cause I think the music theory will be more easier to learn on piano then a guitar since we could really see what note that we're play. And I mostly learn it by myself from YouTube or another internet platform that serve a music lesson.
Usually i only Practice 4 hours per day. I separated it 2 hours at the morning and 2hours at night, but sometimes I do less from that maybe 1 Hours or even only 30 minutes per day. At least my target was I must learn something today even that only the small thing of music. For performance business I might increased my practice time from 2-4 hours per day to 3-5 hours. cause I needed some perfection, that's why I need much more time to well learned some music. And remember to keep Focus on what you learn first, (for example the scale of C Major). If you could done it, you can move or take another lesson, thats my tips and what iam doing to more faster learning some musical instrument.
Well That's how I learn and practice music, and hopefully it will help you guys and maybe inspiring you even a litle bit. Remember these 3 words for being a good musician :
